Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento
Ashton Blaise Whitty was born on the 1st October 1995 in Berkeley, California, USA. She's an actress popular for Choices (2010, The Heart and Other Small Shapes, 2006) as well as Chrissie Mair's Content House 2022.
Asia Argento was raised in Rome by an acting and film-making family. She pursued both professions herself. When she was nine, she made her acting debut in Sergio Ciotti's film Sogni e bisogni. In 1988, she played the leading role in Cristina Comencini's first feature film Zoo. In addition, she was a part of Michele Soavi's cast in The Church. She was Nanni's daughter in the following year in Red Wood Pigeon. It was her career that really took off with Close Friends, written and directed by Michele Placido. The film was highly acclaimed at the Cannes International Film Festival. In Trauma she appeared for the first time alongside her father, the renowned Italian filmmaker of horror Dario Argento his mother, one of Argento's favorite actresses, Daria Nicolodi, playing an overweight girl on the lookout of her parents' murderer. Asia's intense and absorbed performance style was used to great effect in Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato nozze. She also starred in the film of Carlo Verdones, Perdiamoci di vista in which she was Arianna who was a physical challenged woman. The role was intricate and challenging, earning an award from David di Donatello as best actress. In 1995, she was a co-star alongside Michel Piccoli on Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio. This collaboration won her a David di Donatello award as well as an award called a Grolla d'oro. Asia started her short film directing career in 1994. She also directed an episode for the movie De Generazione. 1996 saw her directing a documentary alongside the father of her. 1998 she directed AbelAsia on the legendary filmmaker Abel Ferrara. This film won a prize at the Rome Film Festival. Asia's debut feature film as a director was Scarlet Diva with the film in which she was the main actress, and also wrote the screenplay. The film came out in May 2000 both in Italy in addition to around the globe. The film was awarded an award in Brooklyn during the Williamsburg International Film Festival.
